INTRODUCTION: Recent studies on skiing turns have been researched from various viewpoints. And the mechanism of the skiing turn using the skiing robot is clarified now. However, those results are not concretely reflected in alpine skiing. Therefore, to facilitate theoretical consideration, the passive type skiing robot was developed. The influence on the skiing turn such as the position of center-of-gravity and the shape of skiing are examined by using this robot. In this paper, it reports on their experimental results

Raharja Internet Cafe as a facility in Raharja College which is provided for Personal Raharja in helping provide the need for lecture activities. Raharja Internet Cafe has a problem that the system of selling black and white print products that apply consumers must come directly to the RIC room at LV-002 at Raharja College, but Raharja Internet Cafe cannot accommodate many consumers because of the limited area. These problems are the background for the establishment of an electronic sales system (e-commerce) based on Yii framework with the aim of facilitating the sale of black and white print products for consumers and staff of Raharja Internet Cafe. E-commerce website at Raharja Internet Cafe is a web-based application with a structured programming concept. The e-commerce application development Shop Copy Nicky uses 4 (four) stages according to the steps that exist in software development, including the stages of observation, analysis, literature study consisting of 10 (ten) literature and implementation. The conclusion of the e-commerce website development on Raharja Internet Cafe is that the website built can make it easy for consumers to make transactions, and Raharja Internet Cafe can get comprehensive and real time reports about sales data, and payment systems for consumers that are easier because they use payment system that is done online.     Keywords: E-Commerce, Black and White Print, Raharja Internet Caf

Soil macrofauna is animals that have a body size of 2-20 mm. The main place of life for macrofauna is not only above but also underground. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of soil macrofauna and environmental conditions on forest land and agricultural land in the Mutubusa Geothermal Mine area. The selection of research sites using the purposive sampling method and The sampling technique was carried out by the monolith sampling method. Observational variables in this study were diversity index, relative frequency, density index, and relative density. The results of the diversity analysis show that there are ten types of soil macrofauna, that is; Cockroaches, Millipedes, Spiders, Ants, Conch, Earthworms, Crickets, Grasshoppers (H' = 1.67), Mixed Fields (H' = 1.32), and Coffee Fields (H' = 1.28). While the density of soil macrofauna in candlenut land is 2.9%, forest land is 0.2%, mixed land is 1.5% and coffee land is 0.4%. The highest important value index in candlenut land was snail species, amounting to 39%, while in forest and mixed land, the highest important value index was ant species, respectively, 41% and 67%

Isolation and regeneration of transiently transformed protoplasts from gametophytic blades of the marine red alga Porphyra yezoensis

Despite the recent progress of transient gene expression systems in a red alga Porphyra yezoensis by particle bombardment, a stable transformation system has yet to establish in any marine red macrophytes. One of the reasons of the difficulty in genetic transformation in red algae is the lack of systems to select and isolate transformed cells from gametophytic blades. Thus, toward the establishment of the stable transformation system in P. yezoensis, we have developed a procedure by which transiently transformed gametophytic cells were prepared from particle bombarded-gametophytic blade as regeneratable protoplasts. Using mixture of marine bacterial enzymes, yield of protoplasts was high as reported elsewhere; however, these protoplasts did not develop. In contrast, protoplasts prepared from gametophytes treated with allantoin were normally developed, in which the overexpression of a \u3b2-glucuronidase reporter gene had no effect on the regeneration of protoplasts. Therefore, the use of allantoin in protoplast preparation sheds a new light on the realization of an efficient isolation and selection of study transformed cells from gametophytic blades

Tumour enhancement with newly developed Mn-metalloporphyrin (HOP-9P) in magnetic resonance imaging of mice

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the tumour enhancing characteristics and biodistribution of a newly developed metalloporphyrin derivative, HOP-9P (13, 17-bis (1-carboxypropionyl) carbamoylethyl-3, 8-bis (1-phenylpropyloxyethyl)-2,7,12,18-tetra- methyl-porphynato manganese (III)). Seven mice bearing SCC VII tumours were imaged using T1-weighted conventional spin echo magnetic resonance images before and 5 min, 2 h and 24 h after intravenous injection of 0.1 mmol/kg of HOP-9P. For the acquired images, signal intensities of the tumour, muscle and oil-phantom were measured. Then, tumor/oil and tumor/muscle signal intensity ratios were calculated. Nineteen mice were sacrificed before or after the administration of HOP-9P (at 5 min, 2 h and 24 h), and the biodistribution of manganese in the tumour, muscle, liver, blood and kidneys was measured using optical emission spectrometers and was expressed as micrograms of manganese per gram of tissue. The tumour/muscle signal intensity ratio at 24 h (3.18 ± 0.34) was significantly higher than precontrast ratio (1.77 ± 0.20) (P < 0.05). The biodistribution assessment of manganese demonstrated that HOP-9P gradually and consistently accumulated in the tumour to reach the highest concentration at 24 h (3.49 ± 1.22 μ gMn/g). It is concluded that HOP-9P is a potential tumour-specific MR contrast agent. © 2001 Cancer Research Campaign http://www.bjcancer.co
